Strength

A distillery bottling is a bottling by the whisky distillery itself. We also call this 'original brand' bottling or OB. Until the 1970s, there were only 12 distillers in Scotland who released original brands. The whisky from the other distillers that did not disappear into the blends was bottled by independent bottlers.
Almost all distillers now have their own bottlings. This can be standard bottlings that always come in standard quality, or special bottlings in a limited edition. Sometimes even single-cask releases are involved.
But in addition to the OB's, there still appear independent bottlings (IB) from all distilleries.

Aberlour A'bunadh batch #65

A true classic in the world of sherryed single malt whisky, the Aberlour A'bunadh. This is the 65th batch already. Matured in oloroso-sherry casks and at a cask strength of 59.5%, this is a nice, warm whisky for the cold winter days.

Lagg 2019 - Inaugural Release - Batch 3

This is the third batch in the Inaugural Release series from the fledgling Lagg Distillery on Arran. Firmly peated, as all Lagg bottlings will be, and finished in Rioja casks. A full, uncomplicated and promising young single malt whisky. Bottled at 50%.

High West Bourbon

The High West Distillery started in 2006 in Utah as a small distiller. In the meantime, it has grown into a producer of bourbon, rye and even oat whiskey. And this bottling is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys, also quite special! Bottled at 46%.

Bladnoch Samsara - Batch 4/5

Released on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Bladnoch Distillery. This single malt is a mix of whisky that matured on bourbon and Samsara wine casks. This resulted in a complex, yet easily drinkable dram. Not a moment boring, this Bladnoch.

Glendronach 15-year-old Revival

One of Scotland's older single malt whisky distilleries, Glendronach in the Speyside, is best known for its sherried whisky. And within those sherried bottlings, the 15-year-old Revival series is a classic. This is the 2022 release, bottled at 46%.

Glenfiddich 18-year-old - Our Small Batch Eighteen
