This release from the young Japanese Kanosuke Distillery is aptly named Double Distillery, as the label states, because Kanosuke's malt whisky is blended with grain whisky from 'our family's Hioki Distillery.' A promising blend at 53% proof.

This single malt bottling from the renowned Taiwanese brand Kavalan matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% ABV. In addition to its distillery profile, this pleasantly drinkable malt has distinct notes of honey and vanilla.

In 2024, Islay distillery Kilchoman bottled this single cask edition for the Dutch WIN. The 5-year-old, peated single malt whisky was finished in a PX sherry cask and bottled at 54.9% cask strength. An accessible, well-balanced dram.
The fact that single malt whisky often matures in sherry casks is nothing special, but maturation in fino sherry casks is. Fino is a dry sherry that matured under a layer of yeast, the 'flor'. That gives an extra taste experience to this Kilchoman. (50%)

Campbeltown distillery Glengyle started in 2004 with the production of Kilkerran single malt whisky. In that same year, this batch was casked. A Fino sherry puncheon to be precise. In September 2019 it was bottled at cask strength (51.6%).
In 2004, the Glengyle Distillery reopened after a renovation. In that year, the spirit for this Kilkerran single malt flowed from the new stills and was aged for 15 years, first in a first-fill oloroso cask and then for five years in a bourbon cask. 52.6%
