The Speyside includes the catchment area of the River Spey with its tributaries. It is not the largest whisky region in terms of area, but with its 50 or so active distilleries, Speyside produces around 50% of all Scotch whisky. For that reason, the Speyside is formally regarded as a separate whiskyregio, although it is in the Highlands. A general characteristic of Speyside whisky could be: not smoky, fruity, flowers.
Bottler Whisky-Doris comes here with an interesting Glen Keith bottling. Interesting also as the Speyside Distillery was closed from 1999 to 2013. This Glen Keith single malt-whisky went in the bourbon cask in 1997 and was bottled at 50.3% 23 years later.

You don't often come across an 18-year-old single malt whisky for this price anymore! It is a standard bottling in the Elgin Heritage series from Speyside Distillery Glen Moray. The sweet, fruity, malty whisky matured in first fill bourbon casks. (47.2%)
We didn't come across a Glen Moray single malt whisky that was finished on a red wine cask very often. But here comes Berry Bros & Rudd with one of those. The Speysider matured for 14 years: first in a bourbon cask and then in that wine cask. (54.2% ABV)
As a bottler, Whiskybroker has always strived for reasonable prices, and that still applies to bottlings under their new Cree brand. See, for example, this 14-year-old Glen Moray single malt whisky, matured in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 51.1%.
Special at Glen Spey are the purifiers on the spirit stills. These provide a greater 'reflux', which results in a lighter, delicate single malt whisky. Taste it with this 12-year-old Cree bottling. Finished in a superior bourbon cask. (52% cask strength)

This new Limited Edition bottling in the Wood Collection series from Speyside distillery Glenallachie is finished in Fino sherry casks. Fino is the driest of all types of sherry. That gives this 9-year-old single malt whisky salty and almond notes. (48%)

If you are looking for a solid sherried single malt whisky in which you can also taste the distillery character, then this 12 year old Glenallachie could be something. The Speysider matured in oloroso and PX casks, but also in virgin oak. Bottled at 46%.

Bottled in 2021 by Whisky-Doris, with another beautiful Art Nouveau label for which the bottler is known. And they are also known for the good quality of the whisky. This is a 12 year old Glenallachie single malt whisky, matured in a sherry cask. (53.9%)
The German quality bottler Whisky-Fässle released this bottling in 2021, with a greater scaup duck on the label and a 12-year-old Glenallachie in the bottle. The single malt whisky matured in a large sherry cask and was bottled at 51.7% cask strength.
The name of the Single Cask - Cask Strength series from Hart Brothers says it all. The Glenallachie of this bottling comes from one cask, in which it matured for 14 years, and is bottled at the strength with which it came from that cask (56. 1%).
This Glenallachie single malt is really a whisky for at the fireplace. It matured for 12 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, from which it was bottled at a solid 61%. A dram to enjoy while sipping. It was specially bottled for the Netherlands.
Ballantine's is known worldwide for its blended whisky. But many will be surprised by this bottling in the Ballantine's Series No. 001: A single malt whisky from the Glenburgie Distillery, aged for 15 years in bourbon casks. For a nice price! (40%)

Glendullan single malt whisky is relatively unknown, except in America where it is marketed as Singleton of Glendullan. Here is a bottling from Van Wees in their The Ultimate series. The malt matured for 13 years in a bourbon cask and was bottled at 46%.
