The Hibiki Harmony is a blended Japanese whisky. So, a combination of malt and grain whisky. The Harmony matured in 5 different types of casks, such as bourbon and sherry casks and Japanese mizunara oak casks. It is bottled by Suntory Whisky at 43%.
With 12 years of aging in bourbon barrels, including finishing on oloroso-sherry casks and a strength of 40%, you could call this Isle of Jura single malt whisky for this price a good entry-level dram. Easy to drink, more modest than in your face.
Almost not available anymore, but now with us! This Caol Ila single malt whisky was bottled by MacKillop's Choice in 2007 after it had aged for 17 years in a sherry cask. This is such a dram that you have to give time, but then you will get something!
